8 years have been passed since the start-up of ABP Beijing. If the preparation time for ABP Beijing is counted in, its history would be 10 years. Grinding sword over 10 years is just a metaphor for our company. Now our company has entered into a mature stage, not a new company any more. In the upcoming 2012, we are to face great pressure and a new page will also be unveiled before us.
The situation requires us to consolidate the achievements on one hand and to develop on the other hand; stability maintaining and high-speed development at the same time, which are compatible with each other. Consolidation and development, stability and development are contradictory to each other in nature, yet we need to strike a balance between the pair contradictory factors. Meanwhile, management should be strengthened, so that to materialize the concept of “transcend in tranquility”.
Management strengthening is based on our 8-year project development and practice, including investment, development and so on, rather than groundless. Management consolidating is a review of the past. We have proposed corporate ideology, objective, if consolidation has not been made, to transcend is impossible; if tranquility can’t be achieved in corporate works and management, to transcend is also impossible. Therefore, we should summarize both success and failure in the past. Meanwhile, try to make innovation in our woks, which is the theme and the focusing objective of 2012, that is, “upgrade and breakthrough”.
From the perspective of global economic situation, great crisis existed at home and abroad. For the impact of sovereign debt crisis, major capitalistic states in Europe have been undergoing the worst crisis since the establishment of capitalist system for 300 years. It should be clear to us that the economic problems in the US and Europe are not a structural and social ones, but rooted in capitalism. Therefore, they have to make fundamental adjustment, which will cost highly. It is a comfortable to me that we are still not fully developed, which means that we still have greater room for development and no need for fundamental change. Therefore, we should have a clear understanding of the current situation and catch opportunities to transform, so that to better fit with the next hot economic issue.
What we should do is to catch every opportunity to transform, so that to facilitate upgrade and speed up upgrade. To achieve the goal of transformation and upgrade, we have to strengthen our corporate building. Next, I will come to my “four constructions”:
Firstly, we should strengthen ideology construction, which is the first task in the upcoming 2012. In management, we should free our mind and have the courage to explore, to practice, to shoulder responsibilities and to acknowledge failures. We should also improve working experience, perfect working method and strengthen ideology, among which team spirit plays an important role. This is easily said while difficult to accomplish. All of us are equipped with high IQ and is well-educated while what lacks in us is the ideology. Scientific ideology is the key point. We can’t made achievements alone, but have to take together with others.
Secondly, we have to improve our working team by personal improvement and training offered by HR.
Thirdly, we have to strengthen our institutional construction, to which we have accumulated some experiences. However, there is still room for improvement and perfection. Nothing can be accomplished without standards.
Fourthly, we should improve our executive force. The working experience and ability was improved gradually and every staff should have the courage to do what is required of him or her. The feeling of flying a plane is different from that of witnessing plane flying. To improve ability has to be gained by practicing, no shortcut to the goal, which can be learned from your senior collages, so that to better complete your work.
The “four construction” is the guarantee for materializing the goal of transformation and upgrade in an all around way. Supervision department has been put in place which signifies that we are to achieve corporate upgrade by way of institution and management.
Here, I also want to reiterate our work culture: fully devoting to work, making work done perfectly, working in an active way and being careful and responsible in work, which is easily said while difficult done. Therefore, we should work together to create this working environment, with serious, practical attitude.
Lastly, I would like to summarize today’s speech: consolidate management, transcend in tranquility. The overall development orientation for our company can be summarized by the following words: that is, transform, upgrade and breakthrough. The “four construction” that I emphasized should be carried out thoroughly, only by so doing, can we guarantee the large goal realized and make ABP undertakings more prosperous.
